This harness is standalone and is not intended to replace the OEM engine wiring.  Standalone harnesses are intended to run the designated engine & transmission only, generally when swapped into another vehicle.

This harness is designed for 1986 - 1993 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L, 7.4L Throttle Body Injection engines. These harnesses will not work with a '94 or '95 ECM and will not operate a 4L60E transmission. These engines were factory equipped in GM full-size trucks, vans, and SUVs, S-10/S-15 trucks & suvs, Oldsmobile Bravadas, Chevy Astro vans, and Camaro/Firebird platforms. Harnesses do not include all the orginal connections for the the orginal emissions but are available separate. Also available for this harness is a detailed step-by-step manual, and GM color coded wires with labels for easy installation.

This extended length harness allows eight feet from the back of the intake manifold to where the fuseblock and ECM mount. Perfect for those that plan to mount these components under the seat or in the center console.

This harness also requires the following mating parts; ECM #1227747, #16121154, or #88999146. Calpack #16060836, and a prom to match you engine: (4.3L) #16082087, (5.0L) #16139492, (5.7L) #16139566, (7.4L) #16128359. This Prom does not control any transmission or torque converter functions.

We recommend checking the online manual for the full list of required mating parts prior to ordering.

#60311- In states/counties which require all the original emission equipment to be installed, Painless offers this emission harness for the 60201 harness. This harness activates the Air Port solenoid Control, Air Diverter Solenoid and Canister Purge Solenoid.

If you plan to mount the ECM under or behind the dash or glove box please see Painless Performance®™ part number 60101 as it provides 4 feet of harness length between the main engine breakout and the ECM connectors.

Installs which have an external coil distributor:
#60124- This pigtail will be required in order to connect the coil to the distributor.
#60125- This pigtail will be required in order to connect the power to the coil and will provide a tach signal from the coil.
